Getting started

Workspaces, members & roles

A workspace is one billing entity with its own sites, content, and team. Each user has their own personal workspace from sign-up; they can also be invited into other people's workspaces and switch between them.

Workspaces

Every account has exactly one workspace it owns — created at sign-up. Joining other workspaces happens via invitation, never self-service. This keeps the pricing model coherent: one workspace = one paid plan = one team.

Switch workspaces from the picker at the top of the sidebar. Sites, briefs, drafts, members, plan, quotas — everything is scoped to the active workspace.

Roles

RoleCan do
Owner Everything: invite/remove members, change roles, rename workspace, change plan, transfer ownership, delete the workspace. Exactly one per workspace.
Admin Same as owner except cannot transfer ownership and cannot delete the workspace.
Editor Create and edit briefs, drafts, sites; run refresh and link discovery. No workspace admin.
Viewer Read-only access to sites, briefs, drafts. No writes.

Inviting teammates

From Workspace settings, owners and admins can send email invites with a chosen role. Invites expire in 7 days. The recipient clicks the link, signs in (or registers), and is attached to the workspace at the role specified.

Owner is intentionally not invitable — ownership is transferred, never delegated.

Transferring ownership

The owner can transfer ownership to any existing member from the Members table. The current owner becomes an admin on the workspace; the target becomes the new owner. Once transferred, the previous owner can leave the workspace if they want.

Owner protections

Owners cannot remove themselves from a workspace they own. They cannot demote themselves. The workspace they signed up with cannot be left until ownership is transferred or the account is deleted.

Plans & quotas

The plan column on the workspace row determines six quota ceilings:

Live usage is on the workspace settings page; forecast and projection on the Reports → Quota tab.

Workspace isolation

Settings and data don't bleed across workspaces. If you're an owner of A and viewer of B, your role in A doesn't grant you any privileges in B. Member lists, plans, sites, and content are all keyed by agency_id — no cross-workspace queries are possible from the UI.
